Besides product pages, the plugin has two more placements: a Trending now block for your home page or any landing page, and a cart placement headed Before you checkout. In this tutorial we’ll add both and explain what each one shows.

1. Add the widget to your home page with the Page Block target.
2. Add it to the cart page with the Cart Widget target.
3. Match each page to its target.
4. Trending comes from the last 30 days of views and purchases.

#1. Add “Trending now” to your home page

In the page builder, open your home page (Storefront → Templates, Home Page tab) or any landing page, and add the AI Product Recommendations block as a Page Block. It shows your store’s trending products under the heading “Trending now”.

#2. Add recommendations to your cart page

Open your cart template (Storefront → Templates, Cart tab) and add the widget below the cart items as a Cart Widget. On Orbit today, the cart widget shows your trending products under the heading “Before you checkout” — a last nudge towards your most popular items before checkout.

#3. Pick the right target for each page

As with the product widget, set Advance → Container → Min Height to about 100 px to keep gaps small while there’s nothing to show.

#4. Understand what “trending” means

Trending is worked out from the last 30 days of product views and purchases on your store. Recent activity counts for more — an event’s weight halves every seven days — and a purchase counts three times as much as a view. The top 50 products are kept, and the list is rebuilt with the model every six hours.
