Add a plugin widget to your store with the page builder

On this page

Rocketworks plugins show things to your shoppers through widgets you place with Orbit’s page builder: recommendations and bundle offers on product pages, the quick order pad on a page of its own, and so on. This tutorial covers every widget and how to place it.

Steps in short

  1. Check where each plugin’s widget belongs.
  2. Go to Storefront → Templates and pick the tab.
  3. Use a Product Review element and pick the plugin.
  4. Add page and cart blocks from the Plugins tab.
  5. Lower the Min Height, then Save and Publish.

Statements & Credit Control has nothing to place — it works entirely inside your Orbit dashboard.

2. Open the right template

Go to Storefront → Templates. Use the Products tab for the product page template, Cart for the cart and Home Page for your home page, then click the template (or hover and choose Edit design) to open it in the page builder. Your own pages are under Storefront → Pages.

The template marked Primary is the one your store uses by default, so edit that one.

3. Add a product-page widget

In the page builder, open your product page template (Storefront → Templates, then the Products tab). From Elements → Single Product, add the Product Review element where you want the widget — despite its name, it shows any plugin’s product-page widget. In its Content settings, under Review Plugin, set Plugin to the plugin rather than leaving it on Auto (first available).

This works for AI Product Recommendations, Product Bundles & Kits, Delivery & Installation and Modular 3D Builder.

4. Add a block to a page or the cart

Blocks for your own pages, the home page and the cart come from the page builder’s Plugins tab on the left. Drag the block where you want it, or click it to add it.

Where to find it. Plugin blocks for pages and the cart are added from the page builder’s Plugins tab. If the plugin isn’t listed there on your store yet, email support@rocketworks.dev and we’ll help you get it on your page.

5. Size it and publish

The element keeps 400 px of space by default, even where the widget has nothing to show. Under Advance → Container, set Min Height to about 100 px — the widget still grows to fit what it shows.

Press Save, then Publish. Saving on its own keeps your changes as a draft, and the orange Unpublished changes pill reminds you they aren’t live yet.

In the page builder a widget is only a placeholder. Use Open on live site to see the real thing.

Good to know

  • Widgets run in a frame on your page with a light background, and each plugin has settings to match your colours — see Match plugin widgets to your store’s style.
  • A widget only shows while its plugin is installed and active. If you uninstall a plugin, remove its widgets too, or they leave an empty space.

Still stuck?

Email support@rocketworks.dev with your store’s web address and a screenshot. You’ll hear back from the people who built the plugin.
